Happy 2012!

The Clark's had a NYE party. It was a black and white masquerade theme. And if anyone knows me, you know I begrudgingly wore a black dress! At least I had cute leopard shoes to stand out a bit.

The night started early and was supposed to end at midnight for me as I was on call at 4 am the next morning!

But like most of the parties with this crew... I didn't turn into a pumpkin at midnight and ended up loosing an earring instead of a glass slipper!

These girls are crazy but I'm glad that we can all be silly together! Candace was my new years kiss since we were the only single ladies there! LOL

All in all it was a fun time...

with good food

great friends

and the perfect way to ring in 2012

And if Christian is right December 2012 isnt' the end of the world it's just the end of the Indians! LOL Funny kid Either way let's make this year count!

Christmas is here! Christms is here!

The decorations were put up and the house looked like a winter wonderland!

Christmas Eve finally came and I was ready for a day of food and family!

The kids were more than excited for Santa to Come

And for Grama Sana to get to our house with all the Christmas trimmings

But around 11am I got the dreaded call to go into work... Hearbroken doesn't even describe it

I have the best kids in the world and they made sure they told me it was going to be okay!

So we changed our plans and headed to Grama's where they got to open presents early! And I was able to be a part of some of their Christmas.

What better place to stay the night then Grama's on Christmas Eve.

Eating cookies and candy and hot chocolate galore. Waiting for daddy to pick them up on Christmas morning.
I loved watching them open their presents and just kept telling myself that I'd be home in time for Christmas Dinner.

To the kids it was like having three Christmas'

and I took comfort in their smiling faces!

I drove to Palm Springs for a trip to phx and a quick overnight in Durango Colorado

I am grateful for the job that I have. It allows me to stay home with my kids to teach yoga something I love to do. And still get paid to be on call! I have been more blessed than ever could have imagined this past year and I know that next year will be better still!

Merry Christmas Everyone

Big Bear Adventure

The minute the school bell rang me and the kiddos packed up the trunk of the car and headed up to Big Bear Mountain for a long weekend!

The Lake was half way frozen and so were their toes!
But they didn't care. It was great having a cabin cause the kids would play in the snow get super cold and then come inside for hot chocolate or soup and then go right back out again! I managed to pull them away from snow angels and snow ball fights for a trip into town.

We walked around the village and window shopped. But as always a trip to a cupcake shop was the highlight of my day!

Then it was back to the snow. It was falling as we went out for a walk around the snow covered block

Can't even see our feet!

I'm glad the kids run at a higher temperature cause they stayed out there longer than I could.

I was able to play with them for 20-30 minutes at a time before I had to run inside and thaw out...

It was great when I could convince them to come inside and watch a movie or two with me. I felt like it was the best family time we've spend it a while...

It snowed again the second night and the kids loved waking up to fresh snow that they could trample in!
Our last day there was cut a little short because of more snow! I was afraid to get stuck up there.

So we packed it all in after a few hours in the snow...

made some lunch and then headed home...

The drive home was a little scary and a bit slippery but we made it down, slow and steady! Thinking this is going to be a tradition from now on!!!
