Flight Attendant training in Salt Lake City

Change. Lot's of change in our lives and a career change was not excluded. Back in September I was invited to an open interview in Los Angeles for Skywest Airline. I arrived promptly at 7am in full business attire not to mention the mandatory lip gloss and mascara. They opened the doors at 8am starting with measurements to see if you met the height requirements and 500 of us were split in rooms of three.

After selling us on "Why Skywest" we were given 30 seconds to say why we wanted to be a flight attendant. TALK ABOUT NERVE WRECKING. Once all of us had gone and we had taken our hour lunch break, names were posted on the door with basically "cuts" 40 people were chosen and I WAS ONE OF THEM. It definitely felt like I had been chosen for some cool reality show like American idol! But no time to get to excited because then it was time for the one on one interview. After which they said we would hear via email whether we got it or not! I did. My class date for training was not assigned to me but they figured it would be in the first quarter of 2011. Fast forward February 2nd, heading to Salt Lake City to start 27 days of intense training. I have never had to study so hard for tests, pay attention in class so much and be away from my babies for so long. It was tough. Nearly all of us quit at one point or another but with the help of friends both in and out of training most of got with . I will be forever grateful for the support I was given to fulfill a dream.

Road Trippin to Joshua Tree

Weekends without the trolls could get pretty boring so I made sure whenever they were with Daddy that I had an adventure planned!

This is the big rock! It was one of the largest rocks in the united states until it broke due to an earthquake a few years back.

While the integraton is, " an acoustically sound tabernacle and energy machine." It's an awesome place that supposedly was built with the help of aliens. Not sure about the aliens but going inside for the sound bath was pretty friggen cool! Def check it out!

Gina and Joe

Gina and Joe are my greatest friends. They have been there for me through it all. So when they said they were going to Karaoke at hole in the wall bar in Phelan how could I say no?! Happy New Years!

SNOW DAY!

We in the high desert have a prize possession called SNOW DAYS! The minute it starts snowing school is cancelled! What a great day making snow men and cuddling up on the coach with hot chocolate and movies.

I should mention Christian thought it was too cold to build a snowman and so he stayed in side... he's such a little fuddy duddy!

I should mention the snow melted and turned to slush shortly after by all the rain we were having. Also got my car stuck in the mud!
