First stop Chicago, then onto Memphis for BBQ with Omaha.

After a long work week and no kids, I decided to hop on a plane a few actually. Palm Springs to Vegas. Vegas to Chicago for a quick Visit to Toesies. Then onto Memphis to visit my friend Jeff aka Omaha.
Wine night followed by some Chai before heading back to the airport...

Say hello to Chester and Matilda Victoria's babies

While Jeff was down in Memphis transitioning to the Jet, all I kept hearing was about all the amazing food. I couldn't take it anymore so I headed down for a couple of days to sample it. I told Jeff I'd come see him only if he took me to see the Ducks at the Peabody hotel.

This is right before the duck master called the ducks out from swimming in the fountain. It was the cutest thing to see them hop out of the fountain, march down the red carpet into the elevator and upstairs to the pent house suite where they live!
 Sweet Potato hash browns...
 BBQ pork omelet!
Beale st where the music never dies

Queen Victoria made her debut while I was there after being gone for 20 something years..

Night life...

After all was said and done. I'm pretty sure the food was all that Jeff said it was. Maybe more.

Sushi with Stacy

We decided we wanted to make our own. So we got on the internet, got some recipes and just went for it.
We even got some plum wine and made our own sake cocktails...
It was fairly easy and inexpensive.
 And tasty!

Spring Break!

I love love love when the kids don't have school! If I had the time, I'd probably home school them well maybe I won't go that far and just enjoy the time I have when they have vacation.

So grateful for such a beautiful little girl in my life.
She's a little old soul, already one of my best friends.
She has the kind heart and a sassy spirit.
We are so proud of the you already Micaela Autumn Redmond
You have so many people in your life that love you and are so blessed my your sweet spirit...
I can't wait to meet the amazing young women you were meant to become. But just know you will always be my little girl. My sweet Baby cakes.

We got to spend the whole day together. The plan was to fly up to San Francisco but the flights didn't look good. She was pretty upset at first but a trip down to Santa Monica for some fun at the Pier and rollerblading at the beach, cheered her right up!
